GET ON WITH IT, CHILD! MAKE THE SWITCH TO JOY!

"Get on with it, child," whispered a grandmotherly voice, this morning.
"Get to work. You have days of giving to give, things to do only you can do."

Then I open a file on my desk and this piece of paper falls out with notes I typed for myself on July 14, 2007. I guess I wasn't ready to 'hear' them 'til now.

"Getting on with it: What we do is what we want. What we do - habitually - tells us what we are really attached to. Or addicted to. It may be a feeling of anger, frustration, defeat, resentment, guilt. Whatever it is, it is a myth about what nourishes and supports us. Whatever it is, it is the way we have made things happen in our lives. Making the switch to joy requires different thoughts and actions....Pull out the old by the roots and get on with it!"
